Athletics
Home to several Pan Pacific Games medal winners, Norfolk is very active in all aspects of athletics. It now has an 8-lane track and has successfully staged the Pan-Pacific Veteran\'s Games. Triathlons, Summit (Mt. Pitt) to Surf and a host of other activities take place year round and visitors are encouraged to take part.
Bushwalking and Bird Watching
Many species of birds and plants are found nowhere else in the world.
Horse Riding
Horse Riding in the National Park and on private land. Silky Oaks Stables offer a full range of horse back guided tours. The "Billy Tea" and "City Slicker" rides are very popular.
Diving
Over 30 first-class dive sites and visibility to 80 feet make Norfolk a scuba destination that divers return to often. Discover a new world in a half-day introductory dive course that supplies tuition, all gear, and a dive on your first day in the safety of the lagoon with chances for photography. Or, in just 7 days, you can do a professional PADI course which will earn you international diving qualifications.
Golf
The stunning 72 par course is superbly situated on the ocean-side of Point Hunter Reserve and alongside the sweeping gardens of Government House. The "13th" along side the waters edge poses a real challenge for even the most talented. The Georgian home of the Stipendiary Magistrate has been graciously restored to form the clubhouse from whose grand veranda you can watch the action whilst enjoying a drink or snack. In August, the $30,000 Norfolk Island Pro-Am Classic attracts a talented field. There are many other annual tournaments held through out the year which attract many visitors. The mild climate makes for great conditions all year round. Green fees are extremely moderate. Clubs and buggies are hireable, and there is a resident pro to help with that slice.

Fishing
Stories of catching four fish on a line are true! Trips can be arranged with professional local fishermen on well equipped boats. A feed of the magnificent \"Trumpeter\" (otherwise known as Red Emperor) is almost guaranteed and others often caught are Kingfish, Grouper, Snapper, Trivially and Rock Cod.
Snorkelling
The best snorkelling is at Cemetery Bay, Slaughter Bay and Emily Bay. It's easy to while away a safe and fun afternoon within our beautiful coral reef and get up close and personal with some of the inhabitants. Snorkelling gear is available for hire on island.
Sea Kayaking
Paddle amongst the majestic cliff faces and experience encounters with Sea turtles and endemic bird life. Fresh air and relaxing exercise surrounded by stunning scenery topped off by morning or afternoon tea � who could ask for more?
Four Wheel Drive
Enjoy getting off the beaten track to several stunning locations only accessible by 4 wheel drive tours.
Mountain Biking
Rent a bike (with helmet) for a day or a week, ride through the National park or down to the pristine beaches, we can always arrange a lift back! Guided mountain bike tours through the national park are also very popular.
Lawn Bowls
The Norfolk Island Bowling Club has a heritage going back to the First Settlement, when the club was established before any existed in Australia. Some of the local bowlers - both men and women - have done very well in world class competition and the annual Bounty Bowls Tournament, held in May, attracts large contingents from Australia, New Zealand and Lord Howe. Visitors are made very welcome all year round at the rink in the main street of Burnt Pine. Bowls and shoes can be hired. Bowls are also played under lights.
Tennis
You can play tennis night or day at the Cheryl Tennis Club in Queen Elizabeth Avenue. Six plexipave, all-weather courts are available and visitors are most welcome. There\'s an excellent club-house where you can relax and enjoy a drink or light refreshments. Need some coaching? A resident coach is available and racquets are available for hire.
Squash
Two new glass-backed courts are for hire within the Leagues Club complex located in Ferny Lane. Open daily. Rackets, shoes, etc. for hire. All Leagues Club facilities are available to visitors.
Yoga
Choose from three yoga studios with regular workshops taken by internationally renowned teachers.
Pistol Shooting
Shoot overlooking the cliffs at Anson Bay. Norfolk Island Championships held in December.
Clay Target Shooting
The Club is renowned through out the Pacific. Fantastic club facilities and several international shoots are held annually.
Massage
Massage a number of styles available including Hot Stone, Remedial, Reiki.
